Okay, so plenty of fash hosting websites have their own preloader that withholds the proud name of them in joy. Those such as Newgrounds, StickAim, TheAnimPlanet and plenty others. None of those that have a SPRITE preloader used for SPRITES. Considering, Newgrounds is all all flash products hosting website, meaning, people use their preloaders whether or not its a drawn animation, stick animation or sprite animation. StickAnim and TheAnimPlanet is a web site that hosts stick animations. Well, so what I'm getting for is that there isn't any sprite animation websites with a "special" preloader, well, that I know of... So, I think that we should definitively create one.

Flash Settings:

Default Settings - 500x by 400x
FPS (Frames per Second) - 24
Action Script - Two or Three, possibly both?

Rules:

Must be made in Flash 8 or Flash CS3.
Action Script Two or Three.
FPS 24.
Make it look interesting.

well, i would if i could... i'm not exactly the best at spriting yet BUT,
maybe instead of a contest, why don't you put up a group of spriters and do the preloader...
or make it a collab or something i just think that it being a contest might put people off just like Darkzero has just proven!

Well, I was thinking a Preloader Contest, because, then, the three BEST preloaders could be used, and posted on our site. Sort of like Newgrounds' Preloaders, they have the few best they like, and they broadcast it.

But, people would have to post all their stuff at the same time, and so that people would not copy each other's ideas.

okay, i'm nearly finished with my attempt, but its just a few alterations from the NG one, but still looks pretty decent, but i'm working on my other projects so its not gonna be the best it could be...
Does this matter? if it does, i'm still gonna use it till the official one comes out!

Well it wouldn't really be a contest with no prize, and each preloader will of course advertise the site, so why not just have a preloader show case instead of competition, makes more sense to just do that. Oh and remember, you're gonna need to know a little about programming, and also try to provide a version for AS2 and for AS3 please.

Yes, Eric is right, if you make just "alter" someone else's its not really yours. Please, just look up a tutorial on how to make one and take it the step farther.

I had an idea, we could do like seasonal and holiday preloaders kinda like how newgrounds does. And if nobody wanted to I would make them cuz it is my idea after all, if you guys think thats a good idea. but one thing at a time, I gotta finish this one first.

1). Website to have an official Intro/Outro For Flashes
2). Logo to be Retro Mario...

I only chose him because his sprites are so funny and amazing and he himself is amazing, and there is no reason to be sad hes gone cause hes in a better place (maybe) and Im just trying to make him look just that cooler to be associated with us because we are awesome.

The logo may change it depends, this whole site will be redesigned with better stuff. I would volunteer to make that intro/outro thing, but until this site gets active. I wont redesign make the new logo or make that intro outro thing, you can make your own if you'd like. There will be none you can't use (as long as it was your own creation)
I liked the holiday idea, but of course the holidays are still far away, so for the moment lets work on a standard loader.

Well....

There are many things on this site that we can fix. Though, if we fix it now, for an approximate audience of...7 users, it wouldn't boost our standards much and all we can ask you for is to spread the word about us...

Also, an intro/outro thing could be coming but like I said before, we need more users. Though, if we actually get there, than, we can hold another contest whereas the top three best intro/outro animations will land a spot on our official intro/outro.

The holiday preloader idea is interesting, though there aren't many holidays any time soon. But, on contrary all these ideas are great, and wonderful, but, none of these great things can happen without more users. D:

well, in that case do a video advertising the site and upload it onto Youtube...
or do a trailer? Which ever suites best i suppose?

But the intro/outro thing would help to get more users because if we get some good spriters such like Eric to have that intro/outro thing in his flashes, people will at least look at the website...

I know that if we would have an intro/outro it would definitely increase the chances of our forum being more active. But, we would need more members, before that.
